Design is important in enhancing the quality of our built and human modified environments. As environmental design disciplines, architecture and landscape architecture involve interventions into the natural and human modified environments of cities and landscapes. Both disciplines require continuous inquiry into their relationships with people, processes, artefacts and the natural environment. The School believes that graduates with a wide knowledge of, and strongly developed skills in, environmental design are essential to improving the environments in which people live, work and relax.
